A club bringing together Agrintesa, Sapore di Romagna and Spreafico, in collaboration with the nurseryman Zanzi and IPS, guarantees long-term profits for Italian growers.
A semi-early plum variety, Tasty Sweet is characterized by vigorous plants which produce round fruits of a marked purple color, with firm yellow flesh and excellent conservation. This variety ripens around the second week of July in Rhône Valley. The strain has a high production capacity and is easy to grow. The fruits have a high Brix level - between 18 and 20° - with a unique flavor.
“The plum represents an important product in the summer fruit segment, but in recent years the varieties available on the market have often failed to meet consumer expectations. This is why we decided to develop a fruit capable of reaffirming the identity of the plum and its role on Italian tables,” explains a note from the three companies.
The Tasty Sweet club is moving in this direction: responding, through varietal innovation, to the requirements of an increasingly segmented market, with consumers who are increasingly choosing the premium range and with products that are distinguished by their quality, their healthy character, their certification and their varietal innovation.
