Cherry ROYAL TIOGA (cov)
21/05/2022This year the Royal Tioga (cov) yields have confirmed the great production potential from the Zaiger's varieties, in french and spanish orchards.
Royal Tioga (cov) fruits size ican reach 28-32 mm, with an exceptional red color and an average production of 15T/Ha. This self-fertile variety adapts both to areas with low cold needs (Huelva) and to higher altitudes (Albacete, Tarragona).
In the province of Albacete, with some delay in ripening due to low temperatures and excessive rains, the harvests started on May 25. In some areas of Murcia it is a perfect early maturity stone fruit, as it was harvested in the third week of April, when no other variety of cherry can compete on the market.
In France, it had a very good 2022 harvest both in the Crau plain (harvest on May 10), in the eastern Pyrenees (harvest from April 28) and in the South-West (harvest on May 20).
